We are not aware at this time if the relic of St. Padre Pio will be visiting other locations within the U.S. or if the relic will be returning to Italy without making additional stops. We will continue to update the website as we have more information.
Padre Pio was a Capuchin Monk born in 1887 in Pietrelcina, Italy. He suffered physical maladies and was sickly throughout his life. In 1918 he had a vision of Jesus while offering the Mass and when it ended had the stigmata in his hands, feet, and side. Padre Pio became renowned during his lifetime for his abilities and people came from all over the world to have him hear their confessions. At his urging, the House for the Relief of Suffering, a 350 bed hospital was built. The relics of Padre Pio are on loan from the Shrine Monastery of St. Pio of Pietrelcina in San Giovanni Rotundo, Italy where they are available for veneration by the public.
St. Padre Pio, pray for us!
i hope the relic of Heart of Padre Pio can visit our parish here in the Philippines it is name after Padre Pio
As far as I know there are no other trips/stops planned for the relic. If you’re interested in having the relic come to the Philippines, I recommend having your Parish priest reach out to the priests at the Shrine of St. Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy where the relic is permanently housed to see if it would be possible. Good luck & God Bless!
we are told from Vineland, nj to Philadelphia, pa
Please let me know if you have any additional details. The last information I have is that it is returning to Italy with no additional stops. Thanks!

Hi – The heart relic of Padre Pio has returned to Italy. I’ve compiled a list of Padre Pio relics that are available for veneration in the United States (https://catholicpilgrimagesites.wordpress.com/2016/05/31/padre-pio-relics-in-the-united-states/) and there is one located in Sarasota, FL. There is also a tour of Padre Pio’s relics is in the process of being organized for 2017 and they are open to hearing from churches that would like to host the relics for public veneration for a day or so. For more information about hosting the relic tour contact Katia Felty at 570-259-9903 or Rynoles@gmail.com. If you are specifically interested in the having Padre Pio’s heart relic come to your Parish I recommend having your priest contact the priests at Padre Pio’s Shrine in San Giovanni Rotondo to find out what it would take to make that happen. Good luck & God Bless!
Thanks so much!
Is it possible that the relic can come to Lexington KY?
