The Holy Tunic of Jesus Christ is on display at the Basilique cathedrale Saint-Denys in Argenteuil, France until April 10, 2016. Also known as the Holy Robe, it is the seamless garment that Jesus wore during the Last Supper, the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and through this arrest, appearance before Pilate and the Way of the Cross.
The Holy Tunic is normally kept rolled up in a reliquary in the Basilica. It is unfolded and put on display in a formal exhibit every 50 years with the last being 1984 and the next scheduled exhibition in 2034. The Bishop decided to offer this rare additional exhibition of this relic of Jesus, soaked in his blood, in honor of 3 important events happening in 2016: the extraordinary jubilee of mercy, the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the diocese, and the 150th anniversary of the construction of the Basilica.
The Basilique cathedrale Saint-Denys is also a holy door pilgrimage site and will be offering confessions as well as Mass. Time are available here.

Hi – I don’t know for sure why they only display the Holy Tunic of Jesus once every 50 years. Typically relics of this nature aren’t on permanent display for pilgrims to venerate year round to either protect it from degrading (exposure to air, light, etc can damage relics that are as old and fragile as this one), or to protect from theft or vandalism. There are significant costs to the Church to have a relic of this nature on display for veneration while keeping it safe. I hope this helps. God Bless!
