In honor of the 500th year anniversary of St. Philip Neri’s birth a significant relic of his heart will be available for veneration at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Washington, DC from January 23-25th. There will be the opportunity for confession, a Solemn High Votive Mass of St. Philip Neri in Latin, a Mass in Spanish,as well as vespers and benediction in addition to several other Masses over the three day period.
St. Philip Neri is known for having been an outstanding confessor among other things and he founded the Roman Congregation of the Oratory. He is the patron Saint of Joy and Rome.
