The Shrine & Museum of Blesed Marianne Cope in Syracuse, NY, is dedicate to the cause of the canonization of Blessed Sister Marianne Cope. In 2005, she was declared Blessed by Pope Benedict XVI for her heroic works of charity. In 1883 she moved from New York to Hawaii to set up a system of care for the poor & the sick and she spent the last 30 years of her life caring for those with leprosy. The museum and shrine showcases her life and work and houses many personal items that belong to Blessed Marianne Cope. Her relics are enshrined there for public veneration.
